The Chameleon

I’m a Chameleon
Adapting to situations
Mimicking those around me
Fitting in

Altering my attitude
Changing my clothes
Adjusting my behavior
Losing sight of me

I’m a Chameleon
Under the radar
Avoiding conflict
Lest my voice be heard

I am the situation
I am the mood
I am them
Ignoring me

The colors match
But the soul is camouflaged
And hiding

If you see me
Please tell me what you’ve found
Because I forget sometimes

My colors are beautiful too
